Keep in mind that AN fittings use a 37 degree flare, which is different from the 45 degree flare commonly found on automotive fittings. Don't try and mix the two flare fittings types or you will have leaks.
The brighter side is that commerical hydraulic fittings are also 37 degree and will interchange with AN fittings with no problems.
They just don't look as pretty...
