The gas gauge in my 72 reads just under 1/2 full no matter how much gas is in the tank. With the key off it reads empty. I've searched for solutions on this site and everyone says to remove the wire from the sending unit and ground it. With the key on the gauge should read full. Is this just for older Mustangs? My sending unit is a two prong set up with matching two wire connector.
