Several people on here have EFI 351 based motors. I would recommend getting a PMS or some kind of piggyback or stand alone system. You will get a better tune equaling more power and fuel efficiency. Good luck

See my combo in my sig.

I happened to find a used Ford mass air meter
that was calibrated to work with 30 lb inj's on
a 302 w/stock EEC-IV ecu.

Although it runs pretty good, I'm going to have
it dyno tuned to correct things like the load vs
timing & fuel tables, get the mixture right, etc.

I looked into getting a Tweecer or similar tuning
tool as I'm working on installing an electronically
controlled 4R70W and hoped I could use such a
thing to tune both the engine & trans. After doing
a bunch of reading, and finding that those tuning
devices take a LOT of learning/work/trial & error,
plus costing at least what a good dyno tune does
to start with, I decided not to commit the time/
effort/$ to go that route as I'm not changing my
combo or having to tune it weekly for the strip
etc. Besides, a good experienced dyno tuner
will undoubtedly be able to do a better, and safer,
tune that I could even with lots of working with it.

I'm using a stock A9P ecu.

Although efi is a bit more complicated, and
more costly, I feel it's definitely worth it when
you take into consideration the driveability,
low/mid range torque, smooth running,
fuel economy, and with the right intake
equal power. Good street 351 efi intakes are
the Edelbrock 351 lower with a high perf
Performer upper (not the baseline 302 Perf
upper), or especially the Trick Flow 351 efi
intake.
