I know some of you die hard 5.0 fans out there have made this conversion. I need some help, I am wanting to do this, but I want to know all the parts needed first. I know I will need an intake and carb, distributer, different fuel lines and fuel pump. Can I still run the E-303 camshaft or will I need to change that also? Does anybody make a complete conversion kit for a midly modified 5.0? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If your engine is a roller motor, than with the swap it wont matter. You can keep the same cam but your gunna need heads and intake to take advantage of the cam.

I already have the GT-40 Aluminum Heads, the ones that are not street emissions legal, so I was thinking about a Victor Jr. intake and a Holley 750 Carb. Would that be a good combination with those heads and cam?

I have been doing some research since last night, and have come up with using an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake with a 650 carb. Is this a good combo? dastang, can you hook me up with the info for the HEI conversion? I would greatly appreciate it. I am not going to be doing this conversion right away, but maybe by the end of the year, but I want to go ahead and get my parts list and start buying my parts now. Thanks

Good choice. If your engine was setup for 7,000 rpm peak power, the Vic Jr and 750 would be fine, but both too much with your build. The performer/650 ishould do great.

I would recommend a Weiand Stealth over either of those Edelbrock manifolds. Stealth is just as good if not better and it's cheaper by at least $40 bucks.

I'm with the Air gap and 650, too much carb will turn it into a dog, a 650 will make it roll.

i have an air gap and holley 750 on my 351 with stock heads ported and roller rockers. Do you think a smaller carb would perform better for me?
