I have a few leaky fuel injectors. It looks like the leak is higher on the injector. I'll know more when I take the intake off and get a closer look. I've read that this is common and that I need new injectors. So the question is "Has anyone bought fuel injectors on Ebay?"
If this is a bad idea then what brand of fuel injectors should I get? Is it necessary to replace all of them when only a few are leaking? Any other advice or knowledge on this topic would be great.

may just be the upper o-rings - check it out.

19#ers go for $30-50 a set on ebay every day.

I took the car to a mechanic just to get a fuel pressure check and find out where exactly the leak is. I didn't want to take everything apart and find out I needed to replace fuel rails. They said one injector is leaking pretty bad and he wants me to replace all of them....total cost $1300.

I'm going to buy a set off ebay and replace them myself. I just wanted to make sure that I would be ok buying some from ebay.

HOLY *****!!! we all are. I have an extra set of 19's ill give you for 30 bucks + shipping. just send me a PM if you're interested. try and get you some pics or something. But i would also check the o-rings first, either way they are a breeze to change.

Tell me about it. I asked about the price....break down is: 950 parts 250 labor 100 tax.

Basically everyone involved gets hooked up. Ford, Express oil, and the government. Everyone is happy except me.

The shop I worked for awhile ago had first off, the discount with the parts stores/dealers in the first place as a savings for them. Then there was a 15%-20% markup on top of that depending on the item, plus any shipping costs involved (usually titled shop fees), plus $80/hour for labor. Most places work that way, so bring your own parts as an advantage to yourself to help you save some money. $900 for a ford injector is outrageous, I would ask to see their receipt for paying whoever for them to see if they would show me such proof for a good laugh.

Yeah, I told the guy that the price seemed a little high considering I can buy some injectors from Advanced Auto for 33.50 each. He told me to buy them and bring them in and they will only charge labor. I think I'll buy them and install them myself.

ok cool

But yea they screw you hard, my brother inlaw works at a ford dealer. he gets paid for like a 10 hours of work to rebuild a tranny or something, since each job has a set amount of time to get it done. Well i brought my car in so we could work on it, he did 3 trannies in 45 minutes after we worked on my car about 2 hours. So he got paid for 30 hours and it took him less than one.

He is the only trained master in auto and manual trannies at the dealership too, so he gets to do them all over anyone else.
