Fuel Line Question

Should there be a little slack in the fuel line that connects from the pump itself to the fuel filter hose. I took mine off and put it on the cobra pump but there was a little slack. It clipped on and it wouldn’t come off but it moved a little. There is another metal clamp I didn’t put on yet. Once that goes on it should be fine right? Just want to make sure before I fully bolt the tank up.

The line inside the tank? Not a big deal if it is a little tighter than before.

No, the line is not inside the tank. Its the first fuel line that connects directly to the fuel pump. From there it goes to the fuel filter. There are metal clamps that hold it on. I went to to local dealership and it is around $90 so I wanted another opinion first.
