I'm going to be doing a HCI swap here pretty soon and was wondering if this guage will work

http://secure.50resto.com/product1.cfm?SID=1&Product_ID=2162&Category_ID=1170

Also where does the guage mount up to read the FP?

Do I need one of these?

http://secure.50resto.com/product1.cfm?SID=1&Product_ID=2653&Category_ID=1170

Thanks

It looks like you will need something different. If you mount to the shreader vavle (it is male) then you will need a double female connector to join them sine the gauge is male. The guage will work by itself if you have a BBK AFPR. (thats how I had it hooked up before the BBK AFPR gave up). 5.0resto has a guage that hooks up directly to the shreader valve. (Dont know the P/N).
Hope that helps.

Well I didn't really want to spend $40 bucks on a guage...but I'll do it if I gotta... ...so that just screws on the schrader valve...and your done...

By the way I'm going to use a Kirban AFPR...

So that MM guage screws right into the schrader valve and remains there or is just there to adjust the FP and then you put the cap back on?

you just screw it onto the schraeder valve on your fuel rail and you're DONE. leave it on there and thats it.

put some teflon tape on it so it doesnt leak, screw it on there and leave it. thats it. so you dont have to go searching for a fuel pressure gauge everytime you want to check your pressure, just open the hood and look at it. when i put mine on i had to take the actual valve body out of the fuel rail and screwed the adaptor right in.
