fuel pressure reading ?????????

when testing a 99 and up 4.6 with a fuel pressure guage at idle what should the reading be , my 99 with 140,000 miles is reading 30lbs I was told thats low ? raising the rpm's it goes up very slightly ,I put a new gas filter & the old one with only about 3,000 miles was pretty dirty ! what would be a good pump for all around performance & mpg , thanks in advace ................ 30lbs is fine. mine is only at around 22lbs @ idle with the SVT Focus pump. the returnless fuel systems don't need much pressure @ idle. the pump isn't really going to effect gas mileage.

That sounds OK. My fuel pressure reads about 25 psi at idle. Then the KB BAP will increase it to a little over 50 psi at 9 psi of blower boost.

this site's are great as my cruise control went out & spent days fooling with fuses & other stuff , a guy wrote in & said theres a rod on the brake pedal that can come off , sure enough mine was off put it back on & was like new , so thanks ......................................

is it bad that w/ my predator it sits at 39-40psi... at idle... stock fuel
