I did a bit of research, and I'm hoping to order an adjustable fuel pressure regulator tonight. The guy I'm taking my car to on Sat. for a dyno run/tune reccomended aeromotive, but what do you guys think? And is a gauge necessary? BBK sells that 60 gauge that supposedly screws into the regulator, but will this be necessary for the tune? I don't know if he has some way of measuring it or not (at the shop, w/o the gauge). Thanks guys!

Lemmie sum it up a little better. You'll get alot of suggestions. I did the same thing you did, posted a thread. I had alot of ppl tell me that the aeromotive had leak problems and to go w/ a Kirban. I did and couldn't be happier.

Good luck!

I have always had bad luck with billet type FPR's leaking. Even Kirban.

I have had the best luck with stock stamped steel types like Holley.
They seem to work just fine and a good price too.

I would get a gauge to go along with the regulator.

i found a cheap autometer gauge for 30 bucks in jegs. is 0-60 psi enough? or should i do the 0-100 psi? i kind of need it here by this weekend, so we'll see what happens. its between mallory/aeromotive right now.

The very first FPR i had leak on me was a Mallory. Then I went to Kirban and it too eventually leaked.

I have had good luck with either Crane or Holley.

My Holley (about $55) works fine. Those things aren't rocket science so just buy a good brand at a good price.

I bought the Holly (stamped). Leaked out the vac port (right out of the box).

I bought the Aeromotive + gauge. Never had a problem.
I bought the Kirban + gauge for my other stang and never had a problem.
Both are quality units.

Guess they all have had bad ones.

I know several people who have had good luck with both Kirban and Aeromotive, just letting you know my experiences. Thats all.

I still feel for the $$$$ you can go wrong with the Holley or Crane.

I have an areomotive FPR and it works great. I also like that it has the 1:1 boost reference, but so do alot of other regulators.
