Ok i did a search but did not find anything that answered my question specifically. I have a 255lph fuel pump in the car. It has GT40 upper and lower intake stock heads, 70 mm TB and full exhuast no cats, flowmaster mufflers, headers also odviously. My question is, what should my fuel pressure be at?? I have it set right now at 39 psi at warm idle with the hose hooked up and everything. Now i am thinking with a bigger fuel pump, do i need to turn the pressure down, this is a MAP car not MAF, so it doesnt adjust itself. It smells of gas and it misses between about 1500 and 3000 rpm. All ignition stuff has been replaced. Thanks for any help.

I got the same pump, and mine runs fine at about 42 psi, although at 39 yours should be fine too. The only things that determine the amount of fuel going into the engine is the pressure in the injector lines and the pulsewidth of the injectors. The extra fuel being pumped by the bigger pump is returned to the tank.
