I've got an 86 model that someone along the way replaced the 4 banger with a 302 (carb). My question is that at exactly 3200 rpm's, I lose power. I've checked the timing, fuel pump (mechanical), fuel filter, fuel lines (for leaks), distributor, ignition coil and can't seem to figure it out. I'm thinking about putting on an electric fuel pump to try and regulate the pressure. I've got an Edelbrock carb. that according to the specs, needs to have 6lbs. of pressure to act right. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I've checked the pressure. It's at 7lbs but at 3200 rpm, I drop down to 3 or 4.
