Fuel problem now

So my car didn't run for over a year because of a bad MAF which I didn't know at first and finally chased it down. So we got it running a few months ago and I had a horrible whine from the front which ended up being the distributor bearing going out, so I ordered a used one off of e-bay and just got to setting the engine TDC and putting the new distibutor in today. Well when we went to fire it up it just kept cranking....and cranking and....yeah. So first we checked to make sure the distributor was getting spark...yes. Next we realized we couldn't hear the fuel pump priming. So I pulled the CCRM harness off and when I turn the car on I get no power to the #5 pin at all?? The constant power is there, but what would cause no ignition power to get to the harness? All my fuses are good, but my fuel pump won't prime at all. And yes I also checked the inertia switch in the trunk, and it's fine. Could my fuel pump have gone bad from just sitting there? Also, I have a full sweep fuel pressure gauge, so I know I'm getting no fuel pressure

since its been sitting for a year did you put any fuel stabilizer in there?

CCRM Pin 5 can only see power if the other 3 relay elements are present.

That would work, as long as the cooling fan isn't needed or used.

Ok, jumped pins 4 and 5 with the harness unplugged and I can hear a faint click/thump sound in the gas tank......so pump is dead, gonna plug the ccrm harness back in and see if we can hear the same noise using the ignition. Everyone agree with that or any other thoughts?

I'd disconnect the pump's electrical connector and use a fused battery jumper and a jumper-ground to ensure the pump crapped its pants.

Otherwise, you could have an issue with a bad inertia switch, the load-side wiring, pump connector, ground, etc.

well, dropped the tank and it's not a pretty sight..... Pulled the pump and absolutely no rattle....hooked it up to the battery....nadda. The little S fuel line that hooks up to the pump was completely corroded on the outside and my strainer was full of a yellowish mush. Anyone know where I can new rubber gromets for the filler neck and vent tube? Cause both of those were pretty much rubber glue

I would thoroughly inspect the inside of your tank. You might need to treat the tank (for contaminants and/or corrosion) or consider a new tank. Be sure to replace the fuel filter too.
