Need more info, such as year of car and a picture of the engine would certainly help, BUT it sounds like you might have a 351 Cleveland (if it is a Mustang.) Other possibilities from the Ford line are a 351/400 Modified. There may also be others. . . .
I see you have a 69' and Clevelands weren't used until 70'.
Either a 351 Cleveland, or a 351M, 400M or an Oldsmobile the first will fit a Stang engine bay ( 65-70) the other three will go into a 71-73 (but the last will be definately a longshot)
The engine came from a truck. 70's ill take some pictures and post them. I would really like to know what size it is. cant get to the engine serial number yet too much dirt. i have to replace the suspension it rides like 4-6 inches of the groun in the front.
cleveland fuel pump bolts are horizontal, not vertical. I just swapped fuel pumps on ours over the weekend. Post a pic of the engine.
wait a minute, by vertical do you mean the bolts go thru the pump at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions? If thats the case, then yeah, it might be cleveland. By vertical, I thought you meant the bolts actually screw up into the block, rather than thru the side. Windsor pumps have bolt holes at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions.

If it originally came out of a truck, then it's a 351M or 400. But if you've got it in a 67-70 Stang, that's unlikely, these engines just don't fit those year Stangs. Virtually everything has to be fab'd by hand to fit one.( and then spark plug changes are worse than the FE's) They will fit into a 71-73, with home made motor mounts and a big block bolt pattern C-6. The CASTING numbers on the block will give you a clue, but forget serial numbers, they're not there.
