Im having trouble wiring up a fuel pump relay. my issue is the dash harness is a 91 which expects the relay to be under the seat, but the harness that goes from the kick panel to the back of the car is a 92-93,which expects the relay to be in the engine bay. what would be the solution to this? could I just wire in a relay in the 92-93 harness where the 91 would go?

Put the relay in the position that appropriate for the year harness you are using. Run the what... 3 or 4 wires that you need to go back to the fuel pump.
There are even fuel pump upgrade harnesses already on the market for beefing up the fuel pump wiring from the relay back to the tank. One of these kits would make it easy for you. Get one that again, matches the year of the harness you're using as it will be long enough to reach from the stock location of that year's fuel pump relay.
