Fuel pump cuts off after running for a few mins

Well, after supper I worked up the effort to go and drop the tank. I got it down, pulled the pump out, and had to walk over to the light to give it the old stink eye once over (poorly lit garage). I started looking at the easy stuff, soldering checked out on the splice (i was worried, as this is the cars third fuel pump/shot at life). The hose looked good, and the clamps were good and tight, made sure the filter was on right, and the pump didnt ingest anything harmfull, and was just about to throw in the towel, when i noticed the connector wasn't seated in the terminal of the pump. At this point im even wondering how the hell the car ran....or better yet, how I missed that when i installed it. I must have just set it there breifly while checking the wiring for length, rubbing etc on assembly. Sheesh....some shady hobby mechanic I am.

Now if only I would have finished the exhaust before now, so i didn't wake the kids up if I started it after bedtime. Well, the saga continues until tommorow after work, lol
