Fuel Pump Help Needed

I have a mis fire between 2K and 3K RPM's. Can this be a result of a bad fuel pump? There is a whine in the rear on occassions. I have changed the spark plug wires twice and I have a new rotor, cap, plugs, pcv. I also checked the spark plugs for any cracks.

If you recommend a fuel pump...please let me know which one and where the best place to buy it is.

Have you replaced the fuel filter yet? Any trouble codes from the computer? What's is your voltage on the TPS set to? 02 sensors? Just some things to check before you run out a buy a fuel pump.

I had the codes checked and everything was fine. I just replaced the fuel filter.

What type of plugs are you running and what are they gapped at? A couple of years ago I had a random miss around 3000rpm and it turned out to be crappy plugs. A couple of months ago I had the same problem, but this time it was the TFI module. I would check the voltage on the TPS.

I will check the voltage to the TPS. I also put a tire pressure gauge on the schrader valve behind the distributor and it read 30 PSI at idle....if that means anything.
