just converted to carb and I have the fuel pump wired to a switched 12v so its running all the time,I have a FPR,is it safe for the pump to stay running?
Why not wire it to a relay to come on when the key is on?
When you say "all the time" do you mean even when the car is off? It could potentially run your battery down if you have it on even when the car is off, and there's not really any reason to have it on when the key is off.
Does it have a fuel return back to the tank for extra fuel? If not, that might be an issue as well if it's pumping fuel and it's not being used.
the pump only comes on when the key is on.and theres no return line from the regulator I have.just a single in and dual out,one goes to carb and the other is a gauge.
