The Vortech kit I got came with the T-rex in-line fuel pump which is rated at 255 lph. I bought and installed a Walbro 255 lph HP pump along with the T-rex because I was told that it wouldn't hurt and it could only help.

Last Summer my car died on the freeway and it ended up being the ground on the T-rex, so I ran a new ground. The other day I went to start the car and it didn't build any fuel pressure, but I heard my in-tank pump prime. I can hear the T-rex when it's running, and a lot of the time it doesn't sound like it is running.

I know that the Walbro can handle my current power without a problem, but can it handle something along the lines of 475 rwhp/rwtq also? Regardless of whether it can or not I'm yanking the sucker out because I'm not risking another tow home from Lansing. I just want to know that when I reach my power goal am I going to have to look towards another fuel supplying option.

Thanks guys!

As far as I can tell the Red, Blue, and Black labeled pumps are for carbureted

Also, the in-tank 255 lph Holley pump says:

"255 LPH Feeds Up To 650 Horsepower at 48 psi"

So, assuming that the Walbro pump is similar to that, my lone pump can handle it. I'll see if I can find the Walbro stats.

EDIT: It appears that at approximately 40psi the Walbro 255 lph HP pump can flow almost 60 gallons/hour, so it looks like it alone can handle it.

Ah okay. Yeah you should be fine then. Should support almost anything you do.

Though not of much help at this point, the HP Walbro's are something to consider for blown app's.

And be careful of whom one buys a Walbro from - there's a bunch of knock-offs out there.

Good luck!

I've heard that story from others as well.

The first thing I checked when I opened my pump was for the GSS-3xx on the side of the pump.

Thanks JT

You should be fine with just the 255 Walbro. That is the only pump I am running, and I am a little over 500 rwhp.

When I got my Vortech kit, I didn't even take the T-rex out of the box. I had heard people having issues with them, and that they were Loud.
