Doing a fuel system on my 91 5.0. I am using Aeromotive rails. For the life of me I can not get the number 1 injector plug on the injector. The temp sensor is in the way if you put the injector in the normal facing position. The coolant pipe is in the way if I turn it slightly towards the back of the car. If i turn the injector fully under the rail the connector hits the bottom of the rail. I took the coolant pipe off the lower intake bracket to see if i could move towards the valve cover some, no luck there either.i I am running 60 pound injectors and these injectors fit fine on the stock rails. The options I see are to bend the coolant pipe because it does flare out towards the injector right at the injector plug or toss these rails in the garbage and try something else. Any Ideas would be great. thanks

That would be out of my comfort zone for the stock rails.

Can you post an image?

I'm thinking of cutting and flaring a section of that coolant pipe to allow for flexible hose.
The delete on the coolant pipe suggested by DadLife could be an option too.

Yeah I am leaning towards a 90 degree fitting where the coolant pipe goes into the intake, then use one of the fittings with barbs on each end with a sensor port in the middle. That way the ect temp sensor can stay in the stream of coolant and have a flexible hose. As for the stock rails yeah I agree with you and is the reason for the change. I do use methanol for cooling purposes and is the reason the car was safe to this point. I rather not rely on meth for this purpose though. We tuned the car down to 507hp and 550tq for somewhat of a safety measure.

I have Anderson rails. I also replaced the coolant pipe with the "Cobra" version from LMR becasue it doesn't have the EGR cooler nipples. I wonder if the temp semsor is in a little different spot? I dont have the stock one to compare. Maybe you can spot any difference in my pic.

thanks for the pics. Your sensor is in the same spot. The difference is the design of the Anderson rails. They are built a lot different the aeromotive ones. I looked into those but they were back ordered for a long time. I found my rails on marketplace for 70 bucks. I figured out a solution by removing the metal pipe.
