I am getting ready to put my Mustang away for winter next month and was wondering if I should put fuel stabilizer in it, when I fill my gas tank. I wondered if anyone else does it for storage, the car will sit for about 5 months since the Ohio winters are miserable. Thanks!

I was told by a Rep. for a fuel stabilizer company that if the car is just going to sit use stabilizer. If you drive it a bit every several weeks just fill it up with 93 octane for the Winter.

Is there so much snow that you cant drive the stang or wont drive it in the winter. Five months is a long time without a hotrod fix.

We get alot of snow and sleet ,and they salt the roads heavy here.Once it gets in the salt ,the rust usually starts in 4 years. It will be a long 5 months waiting to drive it! Thanks to everyone for the fuel stabilizer advice!
