fuel strainer issue

I bought a slightly used svt focus fuel pump and it didnt come with the fuel strainer. I called ford and napa and the only thing I could come up with was a delfi strainer for a 2000 gt (got it from a thread i found in the tech section) well as you might have guessed it doesnt fit not even close. does anyone know for SURE that the strainer off my stock pump will fit? Iam worried about starting my vortech install and then finding out that I dont have a strainer to go on the focus pump. Iam thinking i will just have to sell it on ebay and buy a new pump. thanks.

what do you mean by strainer? like the sock?

yeah. Sock, strainer, same thing.

sorry i cant think if it does. im pretty sure that when i did my focus pump the two looked exactly the same from what i can remember. i can say im 95% sure it'll fit

yeah thats what the guy who i bought it from said. I just dont understang why ford or anyone makes a damn strainer for either pumps.

stock sock should fit. They looked exactly the same to me.
