As some know, my car was getting some major upgrades since we were running out of fuel (injectors, lines, maf, etc) so an upgrade was necessary.

I wanted to go with a sump, however, it just couldn't get done in time and perhaps that will be revisited.

However, here is what was done:

- 8 AN feed from tank to rail (originally wanted to do -10 AN but opted for -8 AN) which should support my level of horsepower.

- 8 AN from rail to rail.

- 6 AN return line.

- New Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator (Universal)

- Steeda billet fuel rails.

- Intank Aviator fuel pump (271lph) followed by Bosch 390 inline fuel pump. Hopefully this will be plenty of fuel. When I crank her over it's pretty loud hearing those pumps primer up.

- New paxton intercooler. I've always run previously with no intercooler and never believed in them so time will tell. What I do know is that on the dyno previously, my IAT's were 190 which are pretty high. Keeping fingers crossed that IC will cool things down.

- When I get to the dyno shop, we'll swap out the little 42# injectors for some 60# squirters. We'll also pull the Pro-M 80mm MAF and replace it with a Pro-M 77 MAF.

There's still quite a bit to do (safety items) once tuning is done, however, progress is being made.

Pictures to follow (too dark and cold outside to mess around with that digital camera).

Big thanks to 98SilverStang he did all the fuel system and intercooler install because I was right in the middle of a move in my new house and I know he would treat my car as if it were his own. He did an amazing job and is very meticulous about his work. I do feel kind of strange though because I've done 99.9% of the mods on this car myself in the last 6+ years... kind of weird having someone else work on your car but hey, like I said, he did a super job and I appreciate it.

Kauffman Motorsports here I come December 9th for dynotuning!

Regards,
Tim

UPDATE: Since updating to the new combination and pushing much more power with the Novi 2000, I max'd out the one Bosch 390/420LPH fuel pump, therefore, I had to upgrade < DOH! >. While I was upgrading stuff, I now have the car pullied for approx 20+ pounds of boost, upgraded to 8 rib, and removed the a/c in leiu for the reichard racing manual tensioner to keep the belt nice and stirdy.

Here's a picture of when the new fuel system was almost complete. You're not seeing things, that's 2 big Bosch 390/420LPH pumps along with two big filters. It looks very good and I get a LOT of weird looks driving down the street.

Cheers!

Not sure either but hey, whatever ........ makes me no difference.

I'd like to see 600+rw but we'll see how it goes. You'll never see really huge dyno #'s out of my car since it's an automatic and I run a nonlockup converter.

I'll be the first to admit that my car is by NO MEANS a show car. It's a cruiser and sometimes takes trips to the drag strip

Ok so here are a few pictures of the car at the local park:

Another picture at the park:

and the powerplant:

another of the powerplant:

and another of the powerplant at a different view:

Quick snapshot of my turd making an 11.2@128 pass with my old Vortech "V1" (Year: 2005) off the footbrake and trying to get her dialed in. I ended up spinning a rod bearing in this combination and upgraded a LOT of stuff.

Back in the day when I ran the Vortech. She was a great blower but just didn't meet my power requirements <sniff sniff>:

Ok I could go on and on since I've been wrenching on this car since 1998 but I won't bore everyone to death. Modifying this car has been uhh... quite an experience.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

If you want to see a lot more pictures and also a LOT of information regarding various modifications, please feel free to visit this link.

Tim

Will do! I now have my Hoosier Drag Radials on the car. Swapped over to 28" tire. I have a new appt to get on the dyno come mid Sept. Once that's all done, I'll get to the track but I suspect they will remember me from 2 years ago since they threw me out due to having no roll bar

LOL, lets just hope they dont . And man I wouldnt mind havnt a 28in rear for the track...would keep me from running into valve float like I do now. Huge power loss 150' or so from the end....maybe more.

good luck on your pulls, cant wait to see what she makes

After swapping to the 28" tires, I can feel an immediate change. #1 = much better traction and #2 = Car loves the 28's.

My appointment is 14 and 15 Sept so we'll see how she does dyno'ing.

Yep the 28's are great. Take off the car seems to be more in the power band but we'll see how it goes. Everytime I seem to think I'm done, something else comes up. While at the dyno I will be upgrading the MAF and also upgrading to a much larger bypass valve.

Been making some progress with my car and figured I'd share a few pictures and discuss.

What has been changed:

* New UPR upper & lower control arms (fully adjustable)
* Swap 3:73 gear for 4:10 gear
* Move from 26" to 28" tire. Ran out of gear with 26"
* Bullitt intake off, Reichard Racing sheetmetal intake on
* Stock cobra throttle body off, Accufab throttle body on
* Added another Bosch 044 fuel pump and another Aeromotive 100 micron filter. Ran out of fuel with one Bosch 044
* New upgraded bypass valve. I'm now running the largest bypass race valve that is offered. It supports 2200hp. Overkill? Yes but better be safe then sorry. I had to replace all the bearings in the blower after last season due to lack of bypass.
* All new blower piping
