Got a P0442 Evap code. I did a visual check and found a hose that was half pulled out, so I pushed that back in. But when I went to the passenger side to check the filler tube I noticed that under the cover seemed to be rust. When I touched the rust it was damp and smelled of gas.

Obviously this isn't good and should be replaced. My question is what are the steps to remove and install?

Looks like you remove the bolt holding the tube by the tank and the bolts holding it to the body. Then it looks like it just slides out. I've read it might be better to replace the gasket where the tube goes into the tank as well.

well the filler neck goes like 8 inches into the tank.. all it is, is a rubber gasket.. if you open your fuel door and take out the 3 screws and take out the one screw right at the gas tank you should be able to fight your way to get it out.. but its a pain in the buttox..

I had to drop the tank when i thought mine was leaking. It turned out to just be the gasket after dropping the tank i noticed that the gasket was all dry rotted. I replaced that and returned the filler neck and saved myself $140 and haven't ahd a leake since.
