Hey guys

Does anybody know of any fox bodies that have their interior stripped to the bare minimum?
I'm talking no carpet, no dash, no console..etc.
Just the gauges, steering and whatever else you need.
I'm looking into going full race trim with mine and was wondering if anybody had any pics or thoughts.

Thanks I'd appreciate it.

I am not that stripped, but I have alum dash, no console, no plastic in the back. Need aluminum door panels to get rid of stock.

pm with email address and I will send or take new shots of whatever you want.

save the parts, if anything, you can sell them, or put back later. but definately go with a race seat and pull out pass, overall, you should drop a lot of weight. also if you're going to do this, drpo your glass for plexi, it weighs a lot less.

how do you plan to race your car? a lot of classes have restrictions on what you can take out. figure out what class you want to race and read the rule book for it. they arent hard to find.

Yes I'm gonna run it with one seat.

gojonnygo:
I'm stationed in Germany..they won't have those regulations.

Plus I'll run it on the street a lot...so I'll have to keep the glass.

If you gut the dash removing all the HVAC, airbag, and other accesorie items as well as the brackets that hold them, the dash and counsil assembly is quite light. You can remove the dash frame but it will be quite flimsy. I did that to mine, put the frame back in after I decided that it was just too flimsy.

I don't know about the laws using speedglass. I really doubt a cop would even bother, unless he/she was just being an ass, but even in the rare case they did, the fine would be what, $50 maximum??? Windshields are quite heavy, thick glass. Just make it look good and you shouldn't have any issues. I knew a guy that was big into SCCA racing, he ran all speedglass windows on his car, drove it on the street everyday. The only thing is his windshield pitted up real bad.
