If you really want one, why not just get the Mach 1 kit?

Or get a nice Cobra hood without a fake scoop. I do not really like my fake scoop all that much but it looks better than the V-6 hood at least...

Its function is to hold water when you wash the car so it can puke it out after you wax it.

Exactly!!! That is one of the reasons I put on the Stalker Hood ... couldn't stand all the water on the hood and windshield after a bath!!

Try CPR on the stock scoop after you wash it. Works wonders.

Yup, pump the sucker with you palms like you're trying to bring someone back to life. It'll blow most of the trapped water out.

Shaker hood, thats all I asked the question before. Nobody has really tried it (I thought some kind of incorporation of the mach shaker IN the scoop, but I see height issues)

I just open and slam the hood closed 3 or 4 times. Gets most of it out.

Or buy a Silver Mustang next time!

I can go three weeks without washing my car, but i still get guys at work saying "Car looks good...you wash it yesterday?"

Actually, that Mr. Clean autodry system works awesome. I make sure i SOAK the scoop area with the autodry mist so that when it does run down, it dries spot free. That plus the fact that silver hides all the dirt means i have zero issues with the water in the scoop problem.

Kar Kraft used to make one that uses the factory scoop, i considered it before installing my shaker. glancing at their site, i don't see it now though.

Dammit this is so true... I hate that . The car is all nice and dry no a single drop of anything on the car and before you know it, the scoop spits out water that it was just retaining to leave the marks on your hood.

I took my scoop off and put better weatherstripping on the bottom of the scoop. It doesn't hold nearly the amount of water it used too. When I am done washing I just stuff a towel in the front of the scoop and let it soak up what little remains.
