Funny Noise

My 1995 v6 makes a noise that sounds like it has an exhaust leak. I had it checked out and was told that there was none. It only makes that sound when I'm on the gas. Anyone know what it might be? A lot of v6 stangs that i've heard have that sound. It seems all too common. It really bothers me.
