I understand the theory of the holes, but what does the piece do?why is it welded to the roof????work hardens the area around the circle making the peice stiffer.
It ties the factory "roll cage" (roof and pillars) to the one he's putting in there. May be overkill, but if he's running serious horsepower it will help keep the flex down.I understand the theory of the holes, but what does the piece do?why is it welded to the roof????

It also distributes the load through out the unibody to the cage instead of only transferring at a few points where the cage hits the unibody in a more conventional setup
What engine? What tranny? What's going on with the shock towers? Any body mods?
