gain a few more HPs

We have a 66 with a 289c. I have an aluminum Ford 4 barrel intake that I have not installed yet so the engine is stock. What are the easy tweaks I can do to gain a few more horsepower? It does have dual exhaust.

Larger heads and a cam, maybe some exhaust work.

A windage tray is free horsepower
289s do not do well with a 4 BBL carb unless you have the compression and camshaft to go with it
Try to turn it into a Hi-Po 289 and then the manifold will work well
If you just throw it on there, you will end up with less power and it will be a gas guzzler

My Boss 302 is basically a Hi-Po 289 with a forged 3 inch stroke crank and Cleveland heads
There are more differences, like screw in freeze plugs and 4 bolt mains
