I would think the Shaker would only be functional if the intake were plumbed directly to a nicely sealed airbox. You definitely don't have that because you're running a JLT intake which is exposed. You probably will not see much gain from it other then possibly a cooler (and at times wetter) engine bay.

If you go with the stock air box the Shaker dumps directly into the closed air system. I had to make a few adjustments to mine to dump the Shaker Cold Air directly into the aftermarket CAI. But it works beautifully and you can see on the filter where the air has been flowing.

I read on the forums a few years ago where a guy dynoed his car before and after the shaker install. 3-4 hp was all it was worth.

I have the Saleen Super Shaker on my car. For those who are not familiar with it, it is a shaker intake for the Saleen Supercharger. It is slightly different from NA shaker in that for my installation, the throttle body actually gets moved to the back of the engine. This causes the air forced into the scoop to get jetted directly down into the TB and supercharger. The airflow curve is amazing.

Since getting it installed, I have not been on the 1/4 mile track so I am not able to report ETs, but I have been to the road course. On the straight aways, I can tell you first hand that she pulls REALLY hard now. Much harder than before the Super Shaker. I've had the Supercharger for over a year, so I was very used to the way it pulled before. Just my 2-cents that there indeed is a performance increase.

With the forced induction of the SC, I can say I probably will have more noticable results than a NA car when it comes to a shaker intake.

I have functional ducts w/ my 'ram air'... you'll get a more consistant low intake air temps, but you will not get anything MORE out of it...

Suprised it gained that much considering the car is standing still. They should of jammed 60 MPH of air into the hood scoop during the dyno session. This would be a more accurate test. Bet it would have picked up big time.

I agree. A good test would be a running test and not a stand still. That would be the only way to accurately test not only the temp, but the amount of air the shaker will bring in...

I agree with the above posters , in that it is not a very good test if there was not 60MPH air moving into the shaker during the dyno pulls. However I am sure it is not a significant HP increase but I would not be surprised if it didn't add more that 3-4 HP at 60+ MPH. I would be curious to see a fairer test.
