I beleive stock is .054 so I would probably stay near that if I were you.

.050 is good
just stick with that, so you know it is working well and not have to worry.

There has been some research which shows that running the widest gap possible is not necessarily beneficial - many race teams are backing down their gaps from the ragged edge of being snuffed out.
