I want to replace my gas cap on my stang, mines old and it leaks fuel every time I launch now which is BAD. lol

I'd like to get a pop open one instead of the twist off, but I cant seem to find one for a 65. Anyone know of one that is a nice one? Otherwise I guess Ill do one of the Billet twist off ones I guess.

Haven't found a pop-off for a 65-66. The billet ones don't look very good. It is just an overlay piece and looks cheap IMO. You might try getting a new gasket for your old cap. Fixed my leak from launches problem.

ah, I might just get the billet twist off one instead. Mine is pretty crappy looking anyways. Even with a new gasket it probably would be an issue cause the cap itself is tweaked or something.

This what I was thinking of getting, any input on these?

71-73 pop open bolts onto the 65...so I'm not sure what your problem is finding one.
(sorry these are best pics I have of it on my car)

I had this cap...I took it off. Sell it to you cheap

After 3 months the fake black rivets started showing rust dis-colorization...and I park in a garage and don't drive in the rain...and rarely wash my car

Didn't know that one would work. Thanks. Going to change to a fuel cell anyways, but I gotta do something before I go back to the track.
