This morning I filled up my gas tank and I had an odd issue. It took about 40 minutes of driving for the gauge to get to the full mark from about 1/4 mark. Usually the needle is at the full mark as soon as I start up the car after filling up. I don't think its related, but this is the first time I filled up since I changed the fuel filter on Sunday.

Do you guys think the float is sticking? I tried to get the car sideways on a few turns to try and shake the float loose (plus it was fun ) but no luck. Anyone ever run into this problem?

Well, when I replaced my fuel pump I got the float stuck way up so it always reads full. That could definitely be the source of your problem, maybe it's encountering some resistance. It couldn't hurt to check it out.
