I just filled my tank up and when i walked out of my house later in the day i noticed a puddle of gas. Its coming from above the gas tank i think. Hopefully my lift will be open tomorrow so i can take a look at it. does anyone have any thoughts on what it could be. i always noticed a gas smell when i filled my tank up but just thought it was fumes i never noticed anything leaking. Do you think it is ok to drive anywhere or should i leave it parked?

check the filler neck where it enters the tank or the hose from the gas cap to the tank.

my neighbor thats high up in the bomb squad was a little worried about the car he was telling me that ford should have to take care of it and that if they dont he'll get some of his lawyers involved because he said the car should not be leaking gas regardless if its out of warranty

Does being on the bomb squad make him an automobile expert / law expert / warranty expert?
Get it fixed - check the filler neck (as was suggested) also check around the fuel filter, which is behind the rear axle, in front of the gas tank. There are 2 rubber fuel lines and the filter itself that could be a source of the leak.
Is the leak near the filler neck or near the axle?

Check around the fuel pump. Thats where mine was leaking. Put a new gasket around it and it took care of it. Theres no feeling in the world worse than knowing your car leaks gas lol

Isn't the pump in the tank?
