problem started when i put in the new upr quadrant. clutch pedal would shake a little bit, then i gave it a tiny bit more slack and it stopped.

does the clutch being out of "adjustment" make your clutch/gas pedal shake?

cable isnt binding on anything either.

any thoughts?

ya i know the gas pedal isnt hooked to it, but maybe i forgot to tighten the bolts to it or something when i tried to move it out of the way. i'l;l check the mount for the cable too.

edit: thanks for the replies

straight from steeda:

Note: The clutch should be adjusted so there is no slack in the cable, and the cable is keeping constant light tension on the quadrant. The tension on the cable keeps the quadrant from moving on the shaft. Make sure the quadrant is lined up with the hole in the firewall when the cable is installed. If the cable is TOO LOOSE the quadrant may shift sideways on the shaft, causing the cable to bind. It may also result in a vibrating clutch pedal or rattle under the dash. If the cable is TOO TIGHT damage to the clutch or cable may result.
