Gas Tank Straps

hey guys I need to drop the gas tank on my 89 2.3 lx and I can't seem to find any gas tank straps. I was woundering if any one knew where I can get them. Any info would be great. The sooner the better I start school next week.

Where to get them? You have them on your car already...the two that hold the tank up! you dont need to replace them unless they are broken (or severly rusted). Perhaps you need to better state the problem...cuz i dont see any in your post?

Don't cut them off. New ones are very hard to come by and very expensive from Ford. Take the time to undo the bolts.

Yes why would you want to/need to replace the straps? Just use a jack and a piece of wood under the tank to lower it.

The non ralph nader aproach would be to pound a 3/4" piece of galvanized elect.conduit flat, form it, drill it, bolt it, but also remember to add a 3rd strap and paint them all with galvcoat when done(rust belt anyhow).
