im trying something a little different with my factory gauges in my car, instead of buying some cheasy reverse glow gauges, i ordered some white LED 194 wedge bulbs. i dont like the factory green glow our cars came with. so the other day when i had mine apart, i held my led flashlight up to the back of my speedo, and they glow blue! so just as soon as my bulbs get here, ill install them and get you guys some pics! heres a link to the bulbs i bought.. LED 194 Wedge Bulbs im not trying to get you guys to buy these, but just an idea i came up with, just give me a day or two to get you guys some pics, and make sure everything fits good with no modifications and were good!

not a bad idea... one of my bulbs is out anyways

theres 5 in the cluster itself, and if you want to change the Heater/AC controls from green to blue, you need 2 more. but like i said, there kinda greenish blue stock, but you hold them up to a LED light, there BLUE! haha

that's cool... i'm gonna check autolumination.com they seem to have those kinds of bulbs for pretty check.. i bought my chrome ambers there

make sure you get a pic when u finish, should look cool

Are you sure they will fit?

The ones in the gauge cluster have that plastic piece that holds them on and the holes for the bulb look too small to hold that certain LED cluster.

Just a guess? Let me know.

i'm curious how they come out too. one of my cluster bulbs just went out a few days ago ...

thats a good question? i know the bulbs i bought are just a bit bigger then the factory bulbs, but its not that big of a deal, the bulbs are held in by these little black plastic things, simple twist and they come out. but what i was thinking is.. if the LED bulbs are too big to put through the hole where the original bulb was, pull the old bulbs out, replace little black plastic pieces. then take the cluster apart from the front side (removing speedo, tach, etc.), push the LED bulbs in from the front side, then reassemble the cluster
now the only problem i might run into is, on the back of the gauges theres these clear plastic things that help spread out the light through out the cluster, if theres not enough room they (clear plastic thingys) could hit on my LED bulbs? but we'll see, im suprised none of you guys had thought about this already?

heres a couple pictures to give you a idea what were working with, these are pictures of a gauge cluster out of my truck, but our cars still use the same bulbs so i took these pics.. original bulb & socket (aka little black plastic thingy) and heres one of the back of a cluster, shows two holes with no bulbs or sockets in them, and one with the bulb in it back of cluster . thats the best i can do for now guys, ill keep ya posted!

that link i gave you before, it shows a whole page of 194 bulbs and it's got those Incandescent bulbs you have in the first pic for $.99 each in different colors. They have led too for like 2.50 each...

it looks like what you bought and the bulb in your first pic are the same hookup according to http://autolumination.com/194.htm
