hello i have an 89 that used to be a 4 cylinder that is now a carbed v8. the only gauges that work right is the amp gauge, the speedo and the fuel gauge sometimes. what suggestions does anybody have to replace the old gauge pod.i was thinking maybe getting some diamond plate and putting and aftermarket speedo, with a fuel gauge and and amperage gauge. i already have a water temp and oil psi gauge where the ac knobs go. and a small tach also there too but i was thinking i should get a big aftermarket tach to go next to the speedo on the diamond plate. what other ideas does anybody have and what problem will i run into, beside the sun's reflection in my eyes from the diamond plate.

the reason some of the gauges don't work is because i have not taken the time top sort through the nasty tangle of wires they call a wiring harness to find the right wires. and i would like to have a custom gauge look.

Here are two places http://mc-machine.com/ and http://www.florida50.com/ Go with the Autometer electronic speedo, that way you can use the speed sensor with the stock speedo gear and calibrate the speedo no matter what gear ratio you. It's a simple hook up with two wires one is the ground and the other the sender.
