Gauge Questions!

Hey guys I have a few questions for you guys.

I am going to get the Cowl Gauge Panel with the 3 gauges (2 2-1/6" gauges and 1 2-5/8" gauge). I am going to be running the following autometer mechanical gauges: Water Temp., Oil Pressure, and Fuel Pressure (0-100 psi).

1. Which gauge would you put in the 2-5/8" gauge spot by this I mean what do you think is the most important.

2. There are a couple ranges for Oil pressure and I know typically oil pressure does not exceed 80 psi and the gauges come in the following ranges: 0-100, 0-150, and 0-200. I would think all I need is the 0-100 psi gauge.

3. There are 2 ranges for water temp too (140-280 deg F and 120-240 deg F). So my question is what is the typical operating temp of 5.0 (I built a totally new engine 331 blah blah, not sure if that matters)?

Guess it would depend on your plans. If you are going to be adding a power adder, I would make the FP the larger gauge.

The 0-100 oil PSI should be fine.

Prolly go with the 140-280 H20 gauge.

But those are both really personal preference.

I plan on going with a supercharger in the near future, I was thinking about having the fuel pressure gauge as the larger one as well.

i have a 2 1/16 FP gauge on my cowl (not the same as the panel) and i can see it just fine, personally i would put the oil press one as a 2 5/8. for oil press i would stick with 0-100, and water temp i would get 120-240, but i live in a cooler climate. if my water temp gauge reads over 210 its rare

I have the cowl guage panel with only two 2-5/8 gauges. I went with a water gauge 140*- 280*, and a oil gauge 0-100psi. I also have a boost gauge but it is inside the car and on the A-pillar pod.
