i have a 91lx and i am putting my boost guage in and my question is where did u guys get the illumination wire. ive read on turboford that some took it off the radio but i would rather just get it off the guages. i would rather not pull the cluster so does anyone know which fuse it is so i can get the wire or what color it is so i can track it down. i have a haynes book and it says the fuse is #13 but can anyone confirm.

02 sensor

i did it today off the radio and it works great i looked at it with a test light to make sure the guage turns off when i turn the lights off. also my air fuel guage can i hook up the signal wire an inch or two from the o2 sensor???

for the o2 guage there is one illumination wire, a ground wire, a 12v wire, and a signal wire from the o2 sensor. im trying to find what color the signal wire is on an 87 tc o2. thanks for your help guys i really appreciate it. -marcin

hey garrett i noticed you didnt have an air/fuel guage in your tc. any particular reason
i debated putting one in mine, (i did install one) Aside from telling you whether its in open or closed loop mode, the guage doesnt really do much, it jumps around so much you cant make a good judgement of the mixture, and they are calibrated for a N/A car anyway. Basically if the lights bounce around, then your system is working properly. Thats about all it tells you.

yeah i guess but im guesing if its really lean it will say so. thats all i want. soooo anyone know about the wire i need to go into. there are three wires going into the sensor how should i figure out which one it is. the hayes manual sucks cack and my evtm is coming next week.-marcin

the Signal is wired to Pin 29 on the LA series computers, I would make the connection near the computer, and not outside in the engine bay. The more connections you have out there the more chance of corrosion and shorts you have. I just spiced into pin 29, and got my power and ground from behind the radio.

i may be wrong i think i was looking at it upsde down. i searched the archives at turboford and found a lot of info on the pin 49 wire that stinger says to ground to the computer ground post. everyone says to ground it on the compressor. is the computer ground post not accurate will it cause it to run closed loop all the time
