I have a 68 coupe with a stock gauge cluster. The speedometer works but all the other gauges are null. oil pressure doesn't move, gas hand stays on E even though the tank is full, and the temp is always on C. I'm new to this and have no idea where to start I'd rather troubleshoot this instead of just going and shelling out the money to buy a new cluster. Could someone please help?

If it was me, the first thing I would check is the voltage regulator behind the dash. Should put out around 5-6 volts and look similar to this:

yep, sounds like either a bad or disconnected IVR.

I'd upgrade to an electronic one.
