gear break-in...

I have been told that a new rear gear menas i have to put it through a few heat cycles before I start to drive "spirited" on them. How many cycles is needed? like 3 or 4? or more?

Drive the car on the highway (70mph). Let the car cool for 45 min. Go on the highway again. Let the car cool, and they should be good to go!

thats basicly the ride home, then a ride to the bank later....sweet

That's what my installer recommended also.

I left sideways out of the garage, 3 years later.....no prolems

did the cool down thing never had a problem, i have 4:10s, just change you gear oil again in about 2,000 miles all the gunk and s**T builds up from new gears

Exactly. 6 years later for me, zero problems.
