I've stopped by a few transmission shops to get quotes for a 3.73 install, and most of them start by giving me a funny look.. like "why would you change the gears?!?!?", then follow by telling me it'll be really expensive.. I'll need to put in new axles.. etc and all sorts of crap, telling me they've never done it before and have no idea what they are talking about.... then give me a $850 quote (obvisouly they just don't want to do the work...)

So are there any good places where I can bring my complete new gear and bearing kit and have it installed properly ?? btw it's for my 92 vert.

Thanks

Brad's www.bradscustomauto.com does them frequently as well as AFP http://www.allfordperformance.com/ down in Vancouver. A lot of local shops aren't into doing them as they are time consuming. You won't need axles unless they are worn out. I am in no way connected with either shop as an employee etc.

Gear Swap

It would be worth your time to drive down to Vancouver Wa.
and go to AFP ( all ford performance ) I just had mine done down there last month,
and it is well worth the drive!!! Give Jeff a call.

If you don't want to go that far call Brads Custom Auto in LakeCity, they are a great shop, and Mustangs, are there specialtiy!

There are lots of places in the area that are Mustang specific that can install gears.
Brad's Custom Auto
Bill's Custom Auto
Plus a bunch more.
