gear install ?

in order for me to get my gears installed and bring it to a place i just pull my tranny out right?

In general when guys refer to "gears" they are talking about the ring and pinion gears in the differential. This is the rear axle housing. I have always taken the gears and the car to the shop and had them install them. Unless you have a bunch of other issues it should be in and out in a day depending on how busy they are.

UUUUUUHhhhhhhhhh....no. No, leave your transmission alone, it has nothing to do with your ring & pinion gears.

In fact, when you take it to a shop and they put it on a lift, have them show you what is what, and explain in a nutshell what it does.
