Hey guys, I am getting ready to have some 4:10 gears put in my cobra, and I was wondering if I need to know anything specific reguarding the install process. We will be using ford gears, and a speedo gear. Just looking for some last hints before we open it up. Thanks in advance. Chris
Ford gears don't whine, heard that others will. Since you have a 97, I think you should get the deluxe package, the one that comes with everything since your car is like 7 years old. and since your changing the gears you should change everything else.

Just make sure you have all of the clearances dialed in or they WILL whine ford gears or not. Go ahead and get the master rebuild kit and get axle seals also dont worry about axle bearings. Dont use a different speedo gear in a month it will be stripped just get a speedcal.
