Read somewhere about a kit for swapping gears in an 8.8 which doesn't use a crush sleeve, but has shims instead......anyone familiar with these?

Yes 50Resto sells the kit,

Ive personally never used it,
But mabey next time I do a set of gears I might gove it a shout,

HATE crush collars!

I think I want that as my custom Title lol
I HATE CRUSH COLLARS!

Yes, that's the one I was talking about......wonder if it works OK, I know that the crush sleeve is a pain to get right the first time.

I've heard of using spacers in high-horsepower applications, butI don't know how necessary it is. As far as using those instead of a crush collar, I would think a person who has done rear end work before probably wouldn't NEED them, but I see how it would be nice if you're changing gears alot.
