Hello everyone. I am looking to get new gears for my 06GT and was currious if anyone here know of a reputable place to have this done?
One other question. It looks like lots of you run the 4 10 gears. Is this a good set up for a daily driver?

Where in San Diego are you ?
Do you have the gears or do you want the install shop to provide gears and bearings ?
Thanks,
Fred

I live right outside of Pacific Beach.
No I don't have the gears yet. I was going to call around and price those as soon as I found a shop that I could trust to do the install. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I don't know if it's still around, but when I used to live in SD I got all my work done at Manning Motorsports in Vista. Good work and good prices. If they're still around, check them out and ask for Barry. This was a LONG time ago though.

Check these guys out: San Diego Gear & Axle.

I haven't had my gears changed out yet (planning to soon) but, these guys did a good write up on a gear change in one of the recent Mustang magazines and it seems like they really know what they're doing. Let us know how it goes.

I would call ProGear in Kearny Mesa or Woodside automotive in Santee.
Thanks.

I would go with either SD gear and axle or Classic Performance Repair (CPR). CPR installed my 4.10s. They really take their time. They did an excellent job and no gear whine. 4.10s are just fine. My commute is from Escondido to North Island.

Dark horse, I must say that your name rocks too!:SNSign:

Gmantheman, how much did it cost you for the gears and the install at CPR? Thanks!
