Hmmmmmmph........Without hearing it all I can say is it shouldn't be making any grinding noises. Get it checked out before you burnout the trac-lok or something worse happens.

Dealership? Take it back to the guy who did it. If it was fine before and now it's not then he did something incorrect. Ford won't touch it (my dealership won't) if they find it has another ratio out back.

well to be honest. I kinda paid a guy that works for ford to come work for me overtime.since they got all the right tools.and when i take the car this morning to ford for a regular check up , I will call him and tell him to check that strange sound on the 3.73

Bear with me here but this is my understanding. When you go around a corner your inside wheel spins at a slightly slower rate the outside (the radius of the turn is larger for that wheel therefore it is traveling farther and faster, think "crack the whip"). That is one of the the benefits of the limited slip and is why daily driver cars don't want a spool (it will not allow the tires to turn at different speeds causing one wheel to lose traction). That said, I would guess it has something to do with the diff and how everything interacts.. Most likely the install was not done correctly.

okay here is the UPDATE. i came back from FORD just now. the mechanic there said to me and i quote "your axle bearing needs to be changed and also your axle because it looks like its bent". he told me all this withought pulling out the axle. because the right wheel vibrates a bit.And he says the axle is not fit properly. So i hope its just the bearing that needs to be changed not the AXLE as well . so i dont know now , they told me they will let me know once the pull out the axle. I think the instal was not done that well.
any comments!?

There is nothing done during a basic gear change that involves the axles other than removing two C-clips (I think) and pulling the axles out, followed by sliding them back in and replacing the C-clips. Also nothing is done internally to your differential. If the noise you are hearing was not there before the gear change the installer has not done something correctly when replacing the differential and/or axles back into the rear housing following the gear change, and should correct the situation gratis.

I'm not saying the axle couldn't be bent, but it strikes me odd that it's "bent" all of a sudden after the ring and pinion install. Did it make any kind of noise or have any odd vibration before the gear install?

the car was runing GREAT before the instal. it all came after . ANYWAYS ....here is the final update i guess: FORD told me they will pull out the axles see whats up , and do it all along with any part change under the warranty. The axle might not be bent, i think its something to do with the axle bearing. or when the guy pushed back the right axle , he didnt fix it right or something , thats all I HOPE

good luck.

C-clips or bearings. There are not c-clip bearings.

C-clips are interchangeable side to side.
