so yesterday on my way to school, i was rear ended. long story short, he wants to avoid using his insurance and im getting 1100 tomorrow night. the damage you can barely notice also, so the plan is to replace the rear bumper cover, get it painted and put it on, and have my one exhaust tip bent back to place. the way i figure it..i should be left with approx 700 dollars. gear time! i need to make a decision and stick with it..cause everyday its something diff. i obviously want all the power i can get..so 4.10's sound great, but i do a good amount of driving and 95% of it is just regular old driving. honestly, those of you with 4.10's, what effects other than the obvious do you see that wouldnt exist if i had 3.73's, like vibrations, engine wear, stuff i have no clue about, ect. u get the point. ill have the money, so its time to decide, and how about the highway, is it a pain in the ass with 4.10's, or am i just too damn scared of the sound of 4.10's, becuz of all those ppl out there who are against them. somebody help me! thanks alot.

it alllllll depends on your driving style. I use to go 80mph everyday on the interstate.. once I got the 4.10's I started going 70 and I get the same gas mileage. But they do use a lot more gas.. if I go out on night and just romp on it a lot then I definately notice a good amount of gas gone at the end of the night. But to me it's worth it lol

You gain a little in town, and loose a tad on the freeway. Probly wont cruise at 80 MPH. I keep 'er at 70-75. You'll spend most of your time in town in 4th. And redline comes alot quicker!! But I put on O/R pipe, 4.10's, and MGW shifter all within a couple months so I keep getting on it, sliding rear end outta corners and chirping 3rd, with this big ol' grin on my face so my mileage has suffered. I told myself these 285 tires will last longer than my last set, but I need to start to drive "normal." Go 4.10's!! :nice: Unless you plan to drive 100 miles on the freeway everyday.
