I'm going to get some gears installed in my car and was wondering if its a good idea to get a bearing kit for my mustang and change them while at it, my car has 62k miles on it. I'm going with 4.10. Thanks guys for the info.

Yes. I would get a complete bearing overhaul kit while you are in there.

what he said! get a Motive or FRPP bearing kit. you want good high quality bearings.

it's better to be safe than sorry, and there's no excuse not to do it while you have everything out anyhow.

if you have stock gears and bearings in there now, chances are your carrier bearings are pitted like mine were.

When i got my FRPP 3.73's i didn't get anything but the gears, and that was about 2 years ago and i haven't had any problems yet. Knock on wood. But if i were to go back and do it again id get the master bearing kit just to make sure.

blueovalindustries.com or americanracing.com best places I know...but I think AM only sells the Motive Bearing Kit...you might have to call FRPP and see if they offer a bearing kit.
