Im getting my 4.10 gears put on my 2002 manual gt on wendsday. I was thinking about doing some more modds. Even though i havent even had the first one done yet. I already know for sure that im gonna get a triax shifter. But i work in a grocery store for crying out loud and this stuff is gonna be hitting the wallet hard. Im not sure about doing any exhaust work because i like the stock sound.(no drone, not loud) After reading up for a while on these forums I chose to get the gears because they are such an inexpensive mod with great results. Are there any others i could do without breaking the budget that would give me around 30 hp or so; around $700 bucks for part and installation or part and easy-self install. Maybe something that doesnt increase hp that compliments the gears.

What do you guys think?

get your car lowered then get long tube headers if your state will allow it.

anyhow, I would do the exhaust.. a mustang should not sound quiet.. at least get a new cat-back. It will run you around $300-$400. Do a search and you'll find about million threads about them.

Get an O/R x or h pipe with the stock muffs. Just a little louder and not too bad with the drone but sounds a lot meaner.

Are you getting a speed cal? If not your speedometer will be way off. Mine reads 100mph going about 65. Just something to remember. BTW You'll love the 4:10's, they turned the fun level up big time on my Stang. Go with longtubes, they are awesome.
